What do you love about working with your organization?
The most enjoyable part of working at BDO is certainly our dynamic, flexible and collaborative work culture and the people who I work with who support me and help me thrive every day!
Why do you enjoy working with Fordham students?
I love working with Fordham students because I see their drive, determination and enthusiasm on full display. Fordham students are super talented and eager to learn and it is a pleasure to recruit so many top students looking to make an impact at BDO!
What’s your best advice for graduating seniors who are seeking a job?
The best advice I have for graduating seniors who are seeking a job is to network and continue to stay as active in applicable organizations both on and off campus. Build connections and showcase your drive and motivation to potential employers and recruiters to help you stand out!
What’s your biggest red flag in an interview?
My biggest red flag in an interview are students that do not show their curiosity and enthusiasm during the recruitment process. Interviews are a two way street, as much as we are getting to know you, we expect you to get to know us as well. Students that don’t showcase their people skills or ask questions throughout the recruiting process may send the wrong message.
How can students stand out in the recruiting process?
Students can stand out in the recruiting process by making sure their resume is a true reflection of all their experience and skills and tailoring their resume for the specific position they are applying to. Students who also show their personality and are very conversational, give us confidence that they would be a great fit within the team and potentially serve our clients well. Lastly, students can stand out by highlighting relevant transferrable skills from all of their experiences, explaining what their goals are and how they hope to accomplish those goals at BDO.
