Formerly the Fordham Mentorship Network, The Ram Career Network platform hosts Fordham’s networking community and mentorship programs, including the 2024 launch of Rams Helping Rams.
In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the Fordham University experience, the Fordham Mentorship Network has undergone a transformation and is proud to unveil the revamped Ram Career Network. The online portal, accessible at ramconnect.fordham.edu, is now the premier destination for Fordham students, alumni, parents, and community friends seeking meaningful connections.
The Ram Career Network aims to cultivate a robust university community by providing a secure, Fordham-specific platform for students to engage in “flash mentoring” sessions and establish valuable contacts. This platform serves as a gateway to social capital, abundant opportunities, and heightened participation in high-impact practices.
The Ram Career Network is also host to Fordham’s two mentorship programs, Fordham Mentoring Program (FMP) and RAMS Helping RAMS (RHR). Currently, a third program Peer Mentoring is in development. In the Fordham Mentoring Program, participants experience a formal, year-long mentor/mentee relationship that spans the fall and spring semesters. Meanwhile, RAMS Helping RAMS takes graduating students under its wing, providing invaluable instruction and coaching from accomplished alumni and professionals as they embark on their journey into the workforce.
This spring semester, the eagerly awaited RAMS Helping RAMS program will be launched, accepting applications from graduating students until early January. Covering nine essential career competencies, including Career & Self Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, Technology, and Emotional Readiness, this program is designed to empower students for success in the professional world. Upcoming events include workshops on LinkedIn, AI, and job search tips beginning in February, as well as a Kickoff Banquet and Speed Networking event on January 24, 2024. In addition to core programming, RHR participants will have access to additional tailored counseling geared towards discovering potential career paths and entry-level opportunities.
