This blog is a new space that makes the latest updates from the Career Center more accessible than ever before.
The Fordham Career Center prides itself on innovation and accessibility. Today, we’re excited to welcome you to our brand-new blog site, which will act as a live portal that will provide key updates to all of our community members.
We’ve spent the last few months listening to community feedback and identifying areas we can improve our offerings and delivery of information. From these conversations and analysis, we began to collaborate with the Fordham web team to develop a blog site where we would be able to share community updates and stories from within our department in a clear and accessible format. Our blog will feature upcoming events, student and employer spotlights, and news regarding our resources and services.
This site will also house a new events calendar. Previously, our upcoming event listings were housed on Handshake. While this site was incredibly effective for posting large quantities of events hosted by the Career Center and employer partners, Handshake is largely inaccessible to faculty, staff, and parents who wanted to learn about our offerings and help connect students with our resources. Our new calendar is now accessible to the entire Fordham community and can be viewed in a traditional calendar format or a list view, and can also be filtered down by event type. Calendar integrations also allow Rams to add events to their calendar directly from the event listing, or subscribe to the entire calendar.
This blog site will join Handshake, our website, and our social media pages as a key resource for our community and help to better connect our students with our offerings.
