The Fordham Career Center is proud to host the Government, Law, and Service Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the McShane Campus Center Great Hall, Rose Hill Campus. As the last of the five-fair lineup this fall, the Government, Law, and Service Fair will welcome students from all majors and academic backgrounds to network with employers, discover potential career paths, and learn about job and internship opportunities.
The Government, Law, and Service Fair is ideal for students interested in a career in public and civil service, non-profits, politics, and law. This year, more than 35 employers and scheduled to attend, including:
- Federal Reserve Bank of New York
- International Rescue Committee
- New York State Office of the Attorney General
- Federal Bureau of investigation
- Jesuit Volunteer Corps
- GO Tutor Corps
The Government, Law, and Service Career Fair is open to students of all class years in Fordham College Rose Hill, Fordham College Lincoln Center, Gabelli School of Business Undergraduate Programs, School of Professional and Continuing Studies, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and Graduate School of Education.
Students are encouraged to review the Career Fair Prep Guide to learn about best practices to make the most of the fair and master their first impressions with employers and recruiters. Students also have the opportunity to attend the Bites and Insights on October 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This session is tailored to the industries represented at the fair, and attendees will be able to receive feedback on their resumes and 30-second pitches from employers who will be attending the career fair while enjoying refreshing mocktails.
